About the management packs: with the HP OVO connector for SCOM I know that management packs are forwarded to OMU server but on that OMU servers there are some templates that convert these management pack to some value. For example:
“Windows OS MP” becomes value “OS” in Application field in OMU
“Exchange 2010 MP” becomes value “EXC” in Application field in OMU
For such cross platform solutions you really need experts on both sides and unfortunately I do not know what these templates look like and where they are created or stored in OMU. Also maybe with Orchestrator sending the tickets is also a little bit different.
